So now it’s OK to talk about Obama’s Muslim roots?

So now it’s OK to talk about Obama’s Muslim roots? Drudge highlighted an article by Jake Tapper from ABC News:

The other day we heard a comment from a White House aide that never would have been uttered during the primaries or general election campaign.

During a conference call in preparation for President Obama’s trip to Cairo, Egypt, where he will address the Muslim world, deputy National Security Adviser for Strategic Communications Denis McDonough said “the President himself experienced Islam on three continents before he was able to — or before he’s been able to visit, really, the heart of the Islamic world — you know, growing up in Indonesia, having a Muslim father — obviously Muslim Americans (are) a key part of Illinois and Chicago.”

We all remember how sensitive the Obama camp was to any inference from his Muslim past. Even the New York Times reported the tension caused by the Hillary campaign in it’s reference to Obama by the initials “BHO,” highlighting his middle name Hussein.

Aides to both senators say hard feelings between the two camps are dissipating by the week — many people from both sides, in fact, were friends before and remain close — but some habits remain. In the primary, aides to Mrs. Clinton referred to their rival as B.H.O. — initials of Barack Hussein Obama, including his middle name, which has been a politically sensitive issue — while Mr. Obama’s team simply referred to him as B.O. The B.H.O. shorthand is frowned upon inside Mr. Obama’s campaign headquarters, a warning for any Clinton staff members coming aboard.

Obama’s Muslim past has been shrouded in mystery. Hopefully because of Denis McDonough’s statement the President himself experienced Islam, there will now be an openness by the Obama administration as to what that means.

  1. Not much suprises me anymore about whats happening in this World since It’s all foretold in the word of God, It’s so sad but we must endure more that’s bound to come sooner than later, just keep on praying.

  2. [...] this is President Obama setting the tone in showing his Muslim side. But I wonder. Yes I wonder – what if George Bush said such a, well, stupid [...]

  3. “And how can this be? For Obama is the Kwisatz Haderach!”

Actually what he wants to convince the Muslim world is that he is “Al Mahdi”.

And many are being convinced of just that.

  4. What an honorable president this nation has. A man who hid his muslim past as much as possible. A man who is still hiding his actual birth certificate along with records from his college experiences. A man who tried to hide his belief that we should take from the rich and give to the poor (and it is the governments job to do just that). Now that the election is past, and it becomes more obvious with each passing day that the msm is totally in the tank for his presidency; it is all right to make it know what his beliefs have been all along. Of course to the conservatives in the nation all of these things were already known.

It is interesting that if it weren’t for the Chicago style politics at the ballot box last November the one would not even have been elected in spite of the hatred of many against Bush, and in spite of McCain’s poor attempts to run a valid campaign. Yet we are still stuck with him (thanks to the msm).
