OK, are you old enough to remember the miniseries “V”? ABC is going to do a remake and John Nolte from Big Hollywood thinks that it may mirror events today:
“The world’s in bad shape, Father. Who wouldn’t welcome a savior right now?”
Aliens arrive offering “hope” and telling us not to be afraid of “change.”
To grab power they set out to manipulate the media and create a culture of devotion around themselves.
But they are not who they appear to be.
In fact, they’re out to destroy our way of life.
Hmmm???
Either someone’s activated our right-wing sleeper agents at ABC or the network has no idea what they’ve created and will soon realize they are now stuck with a second multi-million dollar miniseries that can’t be released on DVD.
UPDATE: I just realized that it looks as though ABC is portraying a Priest as a hero.
Odd.
I looked outside and there’s only one sun, so my initial theory of waking up in a more just universe isn’t the answer… I’ll have to count moons tonight.

Seems that the writers are using the Bible for their inspiration. I see shades of anti-christ in the trailer. They appear appear out of nowhere claiming to want to help mankind and seemingly perform miracles which in turn gathers those who are hopeless and have been looking for something positive to devote themselves to, something other than Christ and His church. I’m curious to see how it will play out. Will the athiests get all up in arms because there’s a latent biblical message behind it, which we’ll just have to wait and see. I’m speculating of course on the whole Bible connection, but anyone who knows anything about scripture and has seen this trailer has probably thought the same thing.
I remember the first series which was very good. The V in the trailer mentions 2 key words we’ve heard over and over in the past 2 years: Hope and Change.
Wow this actually looks good. When does it come out?
Hey Dominick!
I’ve checked about, and I am not sure…
