Susan Boyle sings ‘Memory’ from ‘Cats’ on Britain’s Got Talent

When was it? Susan Boyle sang her first song, I Dreamed a Dream from “Les Miserables” on the show Britain’s Got Talent – all the way back on April 11th. The competition resumed today and Susan sang Memory from “Cats” in the semi-final.

Susan Boyle won the popular vote — the “public vote,” as they say in England — on tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent, singing “Memory” from Cats. Her voice quavered a little at the start but soon became clear and strong. Wearing a glittery brown dress, standing behind a backdrop of clouds with a spotlight behind her head making it look as though her face was emanating from heaven, Boyle pulled off her second major public appearance with ease. I can’t imagine the pressure – how do you follow up a performance that made you a world phenom literally overnight, and your video hits on YouTube are well over a 100 million?
