Camelot devotees make very poor investigative reporters: will the press ever hold Obama accountable?

I don’t know, but doesn’t it seem that Obama has been President foreva? He has only been president for four months and it already seems that he has been in the White House for years. I think there will be a new malady popping up among the American public, a new kind of virus strain – Obama fatigue.

I like writing about stuff other than Obama really. There is so much more in life other than Obama, and the meaning to life really doesn’t come from Obama. The economy would have rebounded without Obama’s Stimulus Package (now it’s worse), and the country will be safe if he keeps up what Bush has already done (which he has, to the dismay of the left).

The press is obsessed with the Obamas and everything Obamian. It is as if they are reliving the Camelot years of the Kennedy administration, and seem to promote Obama so that the liberal version of Camelot may live on. But the problem with Camelot devotees is that they make very poor investigative reporters.

There is a huge difference in press coverage between Obama and Bush. I know, this goes without saying. But because of this, the press is not being the watchdog it’s suppose to be, and the Obama administration is getting a free pass.

Consider if Bush:

    1) had close ties with Wright, Ayers, and Rezco.
    2) wouldn’t prove his US citizenship and members of his own party submitted the issue in court.
    3) said his bowling score was like someone from the Special Olympics
    4) laughed with “gallows humor” at Americans losing their jobs and homes
    5) his administration OK’d a photo op that terrified thousands of New Yorkers

This is a short list. But just imagine a host of investigative reporters trying to get the inside scoop if Bush OK’d that photo op in New York. As for reporters investigating the Obama administration about a $357,000 picture: all we can do is use our imagination – because it will never happen.

ACORN is corrupt – but what is exactly the relationship between it and President Obama? Bill O’Reilly has exposed the New York Times for burying a story that explores that very issue. As you watch this video, use your imagination to answer the question: what would have happened if George Bush was president?

When will a watchdog press finally get real? As long as it is filled with Camelot devotees, I am afraid till Hell freezes over. Or until there is a Republican in the White House again.
