Is Obama using deception to push agenda by attacking Rush Limbaugh?

Check out Lamest billboard ever by Michelle Malkin.

Could Obama actually be using deception in pushing his agenda through Congress?

Charles Krauthammer is claiming that deception is at the very core of Obama’s plans. In his article, Obama’s Big Bang Agenda:”Forget the pork. Forget the waste. Forget the 8,570 earmarks in a bill supported by a president who poses as the scourge of earmarks. Forget the “$2 trillion dollars in savings” that “we have already identified,” $1.6 trillion of which President Obama’s budget director later admits is the “savings” of not continuing the surge in Iraq until 2019 — 11 years after George Bush ended it, and eight years after even Bush would have had us out of Iraq completely.

Forget all of this. This is run-of-the-mill budget trickery. True, Obama’s tricks come festooned with strings of zeros tacked onto the end. But that’s a matter of scale, not principle.

All presidents do that. But few undertake the kind of brazen deception at the heart of Obama’s radically transformative economic plan, a rhetorical sleight of hand so smoothly offered that few noticed.” Read More

Jonah Goldberg writes that Obama “is telling the poor he’s only soaking the rich, when he’s in fact soaking everyone.” in his article, Waiting Game.

Also, House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) said in an interview with Neil Cavuto, that the Obama White House is attacking Rush Limbaugh to distract people from the omnibus spending bill:

Jeri Thompson at American Spectator:

“Good thing Rush Limbaugh has big shoulders. He’ll need them now that Barack Obama and his Clintonista reunion band have put the full weight of the Unites States government on top of him.

It’s great that maestros of slime like Begala, Carville and Greenberg (What? Did Sidney Blumenthal miss the reunion lunch?) are able to get their young Bartlebys in the press to trumpet in breathless tones their genius for having President Obama and the House and Senate Democrats target Rush as the centerpiece of their “distract America campaign.” But like their “Vast Right Wing Conspiracy” campaign back in 1993-1994, “Rush is the Republican Party” will backfire by ultimately re-booting the conservative movement.

  1. Here are some quotes from Samuel J. Tilden the Great Reformer…who took down the corrupt William Boss Tweed Tammnay Hall Ringleader. These same remarks are true today…

Reforms must come from plain people and not from above…
All history shows that reforms in government must not be expected from those who sit serenely on the social mountain tops enjoying the benefits of the existing order of things.

I appeal particularly to the poor man, who home is fixed and difficult of change. He is concerned in matters of government more virally than the rich man who, removing his residence with comparative ease can escape the oppressions of a government that he regards as intolerable.

It is rarely if ever possible for a party in office to reform itself by the internal force of its best elements. We must have a better state of things in national, state and municipal government, and a higher standard in the public mind by which official men will be tried, and to which they will refer their silent mediations and in their actions, if we would preserve anything of value in in our political systems.

A reformed judiciary is an essential of good government.

A reform in the administration was not only inimically the most important but was a measure without which every other reform would prove nugatory.

Plain everyday Americans must rise up and stop this handful of people who are dismantling our nation. The last two quotes from Tilden are the best, “When the People Rise the System Gets Cleansed”…and on his gravestone “I Still Trust In The People”… It is our job to stop the corruption…we cannot not depend on them to reform anything.
