The Obama Road to Serfdom: Good Morning Socialist States of America!

Jim

The people giveth, and the government taketh away…

Serfdom – a member of a servile feudal class bound to the land and subject to the will of its owner – Merriam-Webster

With a stroke of President Obama’s pen, our country is on the road to Socialism. We are now on the Obama Road to serfdom. His call for change doesn’t lead us to  a new path, a new road, but a path that has led to failure. His new change is the decision to visit failure again. Instead of following the flow of freedom in the West from a totalitarian state, to freedoms unheard of in world history; Obama’s Road to Serfdom will lead us to socialism – which in turn, will hand over our future to the State, and to servitude.

Instead of a government of the people, by the people, and for the people, that Abraham Lincoln proclaimed; Barack Obama wants us to bow our knee as a people of the government, by the government, and for the government. As a  radical leftist, his intention is to bring change. But he wants to change the very fabric of our free society, to remake it, into his and his fellow elite’s image. His goal: to remake the most free, most prosperous, most powerful, most religious country in the world – and reduce it to a European secular socialist state.

It was almost surreal, watching the President and the Democrats use fear mongering, to shove this so-called Stimulus Package down our throats. The Swindle Us Package is not about saving the economy, it’s all about saving liberalism and the progressive view of the future. This is a spending bill, and the only thing it is intended to do is stimulate the government. On top of it, this is wanton borrowing – we are not spending what we have, we are borrowing our children’s future.

This package will reward supporters, support liberal causes, supply pet projects at home, and fund corrupt organizations like ACORN to help perpetuate the Democratic Party. FDR’s socialism perpetuated the Great Depression, and Obama’s socialism will perpetuate failure now. And our children will pay for it.

Obama’s sights are now on nationalizing failing banks, and failing mortgages.

Forget about 2012 – will the American People take our country back from Barack’s Socialist Party in 2010?

  1. whats funny is that you probably really don’t even know what a socialist government is and you probably have no idea if it would work or not. As a matter of fact I would like to go to a socialist government. At least they wouldn’t be lying to me about taking half of my money. Now they come up with creative ways of taking my money, called insurance instead of taxes. We still have to pay it so whats the difference, oh and the million other little fees and crap that is required to operate in our society, that isn’t called taxes but other neat little names like inspection and tag fees, oh and the many different kinds of taxes that we have. Hmm most people think we are in a democracy, nope we’re not, go read up on what socialism is in reality and not what boneheads that don’t read say it is because they speak before they think.

    • I think you miss the point.
We’ve already evolved into socialism over
      the last several decades.
The Presidency of Obama simply seeks to
“finish the job”, to put it simply.

  2. Have you ever lived in a European country? I am European and I moved to US ten years ago. I agree with Reverendwillieg- you don’t know what you are talking about. In US we pay income taxes, taxes on EVERYTHING we buy, service taxes on utility bills, phone bills, cable bills, internet bills, car sales tax, property tax, house taxes etc. Just like in Europe. But there are major differences in what we get in return. Europe has a GREAT public school system-you won’t find many Europeans who cannot name even continents yet alone countries around the world. Hell, average American high school student cannot even name countries on American continent alone! Every time Europe has a strong storm, wind or snow they do not lose electricity because power lines are under ground where they should be. Europe builds houses that can last for several generations. American cities are unsafe, full of homeless people, junkies, gangs, drug dealers, littered with garbage, roads full of holes, bridges near colapse, public schools with metal detectors etc. Very rich and powerful nation! You must live in your nice sheltered neighborhood, your children probably go to expensive private schools with sports teams and swimming pools. Go and live in any major inner city area and then talk about prosperity. Send YOUR daughter to public school and then community college and see what kind of education she gets. And all that while we are STILL paying taxes EVERY DAY. We get NOTHING in return. I don’t want your fake democracy.

  3. I forgot the funniest part – did you say that US is the most relegious country? I could not stop laughing! Very religious – junkies, alcoholics, whores, strip clubs in every city, porn shops, abortions etc. Very religious. See, in Europe, we fast for a whole month before Christmas, go to a church at midnight with our families, go to the church again in the morning then go home and make a family meal to celebrate Christ’s birth. A lot of people donate money, food, clothing or toys to those less fortunate during Christmas holidays. However, in this consumer culture of yours, MOST people do NOT even go to the church on Christmas, spend thousands of dollars on gifts they do not need, do NOT DONATE anything and then gorge on food. The ones who go to church every Sunday usually spend that time gossiping about other members of the church before going home. You call that religious? Maybe most Europeans are not religious but at least we do not pretend. US is a big lie.

    • Tiana,

The first response is easy – if Europe is so much better, why are you still here?

Compare church attendance in the U.S. with countries in Europe.

My parents escaped from atheistic communism in Hungary – my mother was 3 months pregnant with me. They came here to give me a better life: they are the ones who gave me the love of freedom.

  4. Socialism doesn’t work! That’s the point.

Stop your whining – do something about all the taxes! You live in a free country, and be thankful for it.

There is a reason that folks will risk everything to come to this country, as my parents did when they escaped communist Hungary.

  5. seriously citing “fear mongering” as a problem within the Obama administration–perhaps your palate is still just tainted with the eight years of it we were forced to endure under Mr. Conservative BUSH.

    • Obama is a fear monger – and Bush has nothing to do with it. He is following a path of failure, and Bush has nothing to do with that.

Obama’s first month was a disaster – it had everything to do with him.

  6. Tiana: most of us know what you’re talking about and want to avoid it. We are not dogs here to be taken care of by the government. We accept that we watch out for ourselves and our families and move ahead. A majority of citizens do not accept that everyone is equal in ability nor expect to be taken care of by the government. Charity, on the other hand will take care of the infirm and those that need a lift. That’s because we freely choose to do so. If you don’t understand Americans then I’ll tell you… we are free, independent, and most of us despise being taken care of by someone else. The idea that government will take care of us is despicable to most of us. You have probably viewed the “masses” that need government to take care of them. They are cowards, un-American in many respects, and deserve what ultimately comes their way because they are not producers nor individuals. I know this might be foreign to others but we are individuals here in America. If we need help then we’ll turn to a neighbor, relative, or a friend. The Government can go f..k itself as far as we’re concerned. We’re free… how about you?

  7. Tiana: I can address your statement that the U.S. is a big lie. No we’re not. Unfortunately many of our citizens have come to the conclusion that government is the only answer to their ills. They are a small minority, I assure you. We have the bravest women, men, minorities, and any other group you can think of who know they are on their own and must achieve things on their merits. We are the bravest, most courageous, most compassionate country that ever existed in the history of our world. If you wanted to better yourself, then come here, don’t be a pussy, be brave, be fair, and you’ll better yourself. We have the most charitable, compassionate people on earth and if you are in need of a lift up, we’ll give it to you. If you want a hand out then you can go screw yourself because we are achievers here. Why do you think we are considered the only super power? We work hard every day, we could care less about expanding our territory, and we have become the world’s policemen. Our constitution allows us to do it. Do you think we’re generically different from everyone else? Of course not. Our constitution tells us that we have inalienable rights and allows us to pursue our dreams. Some of us actually believe that and achieve great things without the blessing of government. An individual, in our government,is just as important as an entire company or political administration and we are currently fighting to keep that. Of course there are examples where you might be able to make some type of argument but I’m telling you that freedom rings in this country and once you get a taste of it, you’ll never give it up. Our states are independent yet we watch out for each other and help each other out. Come here and you’ll see. We’re the greatest country that ever existed.
